From April 2019, MTD will become mandatory for businesses with taxable turnover over £85,000. All VAT registered businesses must follow MTD rules meaning,

• (a) keep digital VAT records
• (b) sign up for MTD for VAT
• (c) need to submit VAT Returns electronically through the MTD compliant/compatible software.
